The Good!
The Gates of Hell..aka..The city of the living Dead
Aside from a bizzare ending that has allways
left me kinda clueless,I love this movie which was made by the late great Lucio Fulci. Opening scene a priest in a cemetary
hangs himself and the ground cracks open, cuts to New York where a group is having abit of Ouija board type fun and a woman
in the group see's the priest and realizes that the gates of hell have been opened, She dies and is buried and the police
fnd it suspect that a woman seems to have died from being scared to death,a reporter catches wind of it and thinks hes got
a story so he goes to the cemetary to sniff around while the put the dead girl in the ground, well the grave diggers being
the lazy turds they are leave without filling in the hole with drt stateing the fact she aint goin anywhere so whats th rush....lol..the
reporter starts hearts screams coing from thepartialy buried coffin,I dont wanna give away to much really because what ive
just told is like in the first 10minutes of the film so theres alot going on in this flick,I'll give some highlight,Pervert
with blowup doll, large electric drill through the head, girl thropwing up all of her internal organs and blood flowing from
her eyes,Four people being showered in real live maggots! And the living dead roaming around causing mayhem...Good times and
family fun for all! 5 Of 5 skulls for this wonderfull italian film that really shows how a super low budget film can
be really good when the director and the actors give a 100 percent!

The Exorcist:The version you've never seen.Running time132Mins.
I'm not going into much as far as this film goes except to say if you havent seen it where the hell have you been for
the last million years? One of my all time favorite horror movies ever made probally because of the horridmental effects that
it had on me from seeing it at such a young age,I remeamber in vivid detail as a very young child in the middle of the night
seeing Regans cracked and possesed face staring at me from across the room & the noises under my bed.But now as an adult
I love this film because of its other aspects.I see this this film as a master piece of good winning over evil. The best suggestion
I can give to anyone who eally likes this movie is to watch it wih the commentary on.I know a lot of people dont like commentays
and i'm one of thse people but I have watched this film with commentary at least three times since getting it a few ears ago,You
really get a lot of insite on the characters and how little things all link together towards the end of the film you may never
have noticed. The commentary is done by Willam Friedkin and he has one of those voices that puts you at ease right off the
bat and there is no fumbling around for things to say with this guy,He is obviously a learned man who knows what hes talking
about and you can hear in his voice that he has a deep love for this film. There are the goodies that were left out of
the original that should be seen for die hard fans,The now infamous staircase decent of Regan...aka...The spider Walk,Extend
scenes of Fathe Merrin before the Exorcism takes place, and an epilouge between Lt.Kinderman & Father Dyer. Obvious
5 of 5 Skulls folks,It really doesnt get better then this!
